Villa Sorrento

Atmosphere was okay, we were in a booth sitting on a large duct tape patch. Not very appealing. Service was fine. The food, where do I begin. The bread came out warm which is good until we tried it. It appeared to be a frozen loaf that was heated. It was doughy and bland. We each tried a piece and were done. Not good. I ordered Chicken Parmesan and it was prepared correctly. The breast was beaten flat and fried to a golden brown. The meat seemed fined but there was a burnt flavor which may have come from the sauce. I say that because my side of linguine, which was actually spaghetti, had the same sauce and it also had a burnt flavor. Two issues here, burnt sauce and serving spaghetti when it is supposed to be linguine. What Italian restaurant doesn’t know the difference? Finally my spouses dish. She ordered a baked dish, Spinach Lasagna. She took one bike and couldn’t take another. She said it appeared that the Lasagna had been frozen and then reheated. The spinach was mealy and the flavor off. I can say my wife has never sent a dish back until tonight. The Owner or proprietor didn’t even come over to discuss our concerns. If she had she could have tasted her handiwork. I gave one star because if the the food isn’t right and ownership doesn’t care what are we doing here? I am sorry to say that I cannot recommend Villa Sorrento.

The margarita pizza was good. The bread was fabulous and the Caesar salad was done in such a way that I don't think I've ever experienced it before. There was a lemony undertone to it and it was way good

We ate in and had several sea food dishes. All were excellent. The Italian music and the pictures made the place feel like Italy. Highly recommend.
