FINS Oyster Bar & Grill
I ordered a bowl of cream of crab soup, the breaded haddock sandwich, and the middle neck clams. The Good: the tartar sauce was amazing. The sandwich was perfectly cooked. The clams were delicious. I also want a year supply of the Old Bay pickles. The soup was decent. ||| The Bad: The crab soup was almost room temperature. If i get sick tonight, that will be my number one suspect. They took the soup and microwaved it. I know they microwaved it because my oyster crackers were still in the soup, not stirred. That's very disappointing. Not really enough crab, either. The pickles, while amazing, were forgotten and I had to ask for my side of pickles. The breading on the sandwich could use some seasoning. It was somewhat bland until I covered it in lemon juice, hot sauce, and tartar sauce.

Sarah was our server and she was great! We took her recommendations (which I asked for) and did not regret a thing. We had the pimento cheese sticks, stuffed flounder (switched potatoes for stewed tomatoes and they are the best we have ever eaten), and chicken Marsala. Excellent meal! We will definitely be back to try to the fish & chips.

I thoroughly enjoy many of the Fins and Big Oyster restaurants, but unfortunately, this particular location has been more miss than hit for me. The service is often lacking and noticeably slow, which takes away from the overall experience.
The food has the potential to be very good, but the consistency seems to depend heavily on who is preparing it. Tonight was a perfect example: I brought home their scallop risotto for dinner. The risotto itself had a decent flavor, but it was missing some depth — a little more garlic would have really helped, and I even added fresh corn at home to enhance it.
The biggest issue, however, was the scallops. They had an extremely strong, fishy taste that made the dish difficult to enjoy. Good-quality scallops should have a sweet, clean flavor, so this was disappointing, especially for a dish centered around them.
I really want to love this restaurant because I enjoy the other Fins and Big Oyster locations, but unfortunately, this experience fell short
