Drift Seafood & Raw Bar

Service: Drift has very friendly staff from the moment you enter to the moment to leave. Cassidy was wonderful to us and made us everything was going well at our table.

Atmosphere: The restaurant is a bit loud with the music and diners talking. We could still hear each other talk, but had to really lean in and focus on the conversation. The place is nicely decorated and the little otter guys on the plates and restroom doors are a nice touch. The A/C inside is a good escape from the humidity outside.

Food: The food was so good! The oysters 👌 The tuna tartare was great and didn't need the spiced cracker for flavour, only texture. The fried oysters were a bit on the smaller end, but the flavour made up for it. The lobster spaghettini had us wanting more. We were debating on ordering a second round, but we were full. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavour profile was just right. It was the perfect dish to end the dinner. Compliments to the chef!

Amazing dinner for a first timer in Delaware!

We had a weeknight reservation for our first visit here. Drift is very small, but well decorated and comfortable. There is a small bar with some outdoor seating on nice days. Service was excellent, tables were cleared, orders timed correctly, knowledgeable, and friendly. Not a given in a beach town. We had a dozen oysters to start their homemade cocktail sauce is strawberry based and interesting the mignonette was superb. The strawberry was begging for a dash of basalmic The oysters were fresh, we preferred the DE and VA options to the CT ones. I’m sure these rotate based on availability. Their endive Caesar is a showstopper. The dressing is spot on and the endive holds it perfectly like little swamped canoes. Crouton crumble, cheese, and fried anchovy bring this gem into perfect, harmonious balance. We had lobster spaghetti and flat iron steak for mains - both excellent. The squid ink pasta with browned butter and chili crisps took this healthy portion of lobster to the highest level. It had a savory praline start, sweet lobster middle, and chili crunch finish. Superb!
There is more to try and I’d eat that salad again tomorrow - we will be back.

This is a beautiful little place in the heart of Rehoboth beach! It is a smaller restaurant so make sure you make a reservation. My party of 4 had a wonderful time. Our server was attentive and friendly. The drink menu is original and they tasted great! The tuna appetizer was a delicious starter; and all of our meals were beautifully plated and had amazing flavor! I would definitely recommend trying Drift. In an area with so many restaurants it can be hard to be unique but this place does a great job!
