Whimsical Masterpieces: Pastel Workshop Series

Join us for a fun, engaging, and empowering artistic experience for adults 55+ who would like to investigate their creative potential while building a basic level of mastery using oil pastels. This artistic journey provides an approachable and challenging entry-level environment to gain a basic command of oil pastel painting. Over an eight-week period (one hourly class a week) participants will be actively engaged in producing their own final artwork under the guidance of local professional teaching artist, John Donato. In addition, participants will investigate idea creation, personal style, and finishing techniques, and have access to ongoing social support from their teacher and peers. This program is funded by the Delaware Division of the Arts as a part of its’ Access Creative Aging program, a community-based arts education program designed for adults ages 55+. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on DelawareScene.com. Class size is limited to 12 people so registration is required. Participants are expected to attend all 8 sessions. All materials will be provided. Venue: Lewes Public Library.
