“As an artist, visual storyteller and art educator, I have always been curious to face the creative challenges of something new. One such challenge was to move to the United States, at a not so young age, and to continue to pursue artistic endeavors not only in a different culture, but also within a different political and economic environment. Born, educated and starting my artistic career in Bulgaria, the body of my work, as a whole, reflects the scope and the range of the creative endeavors in different fields of visual art: Illustration, Drawing, Painting, Public Art. After working for many years in book publishing I believe a vast portion of it contributes to the local tradition in illustration, celebrating fantasy and human imagination. Now, exploring various technical processes and layered technics, I’m seeking more direct and intuitive connection with subjects and themes, without the presence of justifiable narrative.” Venue: Rehoboth Art League.
