FEST ART 2022!
Apr 30, 2022
CAMP Rehoboth is thrilled to announce that FEST ART 2022! is opening at CAMP Rehoboth on April 7, with an artists’ reception on April 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. This exhibition, a community favorite, held in conjunction with CAMP Rehoboth’s Women’s FEST, celebrates women in the arts and their supporters. The juror for this year’s exhibition is Rebecca Davidson, a contemporary abstract expressionist painter who earned her B.A. in Studio Art from Delaware State University, and an M.F.A. in Painting from Savannah College of Art & Design. Their work has been shown in numerous juried and solo exhibitions across the U.S., including CAMP Rehoboth! The talent displayed in FEST ART 2022! is amazing. “We had over 100 submissions from 40 artists. It was extremely challenging to narrow it down to just 40 works, especially with the caliber of some of the work we received” said Davidson. “Since Women’s FEST is one of my favorite annual CAMP Rehoboth events, I feel really honored to have been selected to jury and curate this exhibition. I think it is important for LGBTQ+ artists and organizations to support each other and work together.” Twenty-eight artists are displaying work in FEST ART2022! In a variety of mediums, including oil and acrylic painting, photography, collage, ceramics, fused glass, graphite and more. Participating artists include Daniel Bartasavich, Bryant T. Bell, Susan Daily, Sharrill Dittmann, Samuel E. Dixon, Jane Duffy, Sheila Exum, Logan Farro, Kiara Florez, Susan Frey, Yvonne Frankis, Taylor Gordon, Donna Hitchens, Joann Kott Hughes, Kaz Huston, LaVerne McIntyre, Kim Klabe, Jane Knaus, Marta Nammack, Judy Olsen, Bev (Morgan) Pasquarella. Mara Rago, Deborah Saks, Leslie Sinclair, R. Stiles, Roberta Tucci, Carol A. Yost, and Yona Zucker. Juror Rebecca Davidson will also have a work on display. CAMP Rehoboth is located at 37 Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth Beach. Stop by the gallery Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or plan to attend the April 8 reception.
