The American Cinematheque is thrilled to present a weeklong festival at RBFS / Cinema Art Theater spotlighting powerful films from around the world that explore the darkest sides of humanity and some of the bleakest moments in human history.
Join us for 7 days of uncompromising cinema, special guest presentations by Shelby Cooke and local film critics Bill Newcott and Nelson Pressley after select films, plus our darkly delightful Unhappy Hour on June 19 from 6–7 PM. 🍷🎥
And for the truly brave: anyone who “survives” 4 or more Bleak Week films will receive a free festival t-shirt! 🖤👕
