Asteroid City

Asteroid City is a romantic-comedy that follows a grieving father who travels with his tech-obsessed family. The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events. Directed by Wes Anderson (The French Dispatch, The Royal Tenenbaums), the cast includes Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, and Tom Hanks. [2023, US, 105 min, Rating: PG-13] Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune pens, “What I like about Asteroid City is its sheer visual beauty, spiced with sweetness, and occasional dashes of real feeling.” Venue: Cinema Art Theater. Presenter: Rehoboth Beach Film Society.
