It would be hard to find a band that has\nmore fun than The Funsters. That is why they are still entertaining\n thousands of people after 20+ years of playing together. Not only are\nthe se guys great musicians who share a pride in each other’s musical\nabili ties\, but they are also friends. This spirit and camaraderie on\nstage is what sets The Funsters apart from other bands offering the\nsame type of musical entertainment. What about the music? Well\, it can\nbe anything fr om Frank Sinatra to The Rolling Stones\, The Beatles to\nAl Green. With a three-piece horn section\, four lead vocalists and a\nguitarist that has t oured the world with Joe Cocker\, Scandal and Paul\nYoung(to name a few)\, it is uncommon for any band to match the musical\nbreadth of The Funsters . In fact\, with a song list so vast\, the\nmembers find themselves disapp ointed that they can’t “play them\nall” at every performance. With t his kind of flexibility\, The\nFunsters can customize a night of music tha t will be perfect for any\nevent. The band takes great pride and puts extr aordinary effort into\nassuring that the quality of each performance be to pnotch by owning a\nsound system that assures top quality sound for any ty pe of venue or\nevent. The comment is often made that their performances “sound like\na recording”. But that is just part of The Funsters ethic . The\nFunsters are indeed made up of lifelong friends. Besides a set of\n brothers\, some members have known each other since childhood and\nplayed together in “first bands” over 30 years ago. Other members\nmet and pl ayed in bands during their college years and have continued\nplaying toget her for the last 20-25 years. The common roots of this\nband can be traced back first to southern Delaware with such groups as\n“Mr. Softee” \, ”Texas”\, and “Colour”. Later combinations\nled to the University of Delaware\, the Stone Balloon\, the\nBottle-n-Cork\, and “Jack of Diam onds”\, “Eighth Day” and\n“Kickback”.
