CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:In 1998\, while vacationing in San Antonio\, Texas\, Peninsula
Gallery\nowners\, Tony and Carol Boyd-Heron\, came across a grand 5-foot\n

moved by the image\, purchased the piece. Crafted by Tania Dibbs\, this\np
ainting\, titled “The Road to the Future\,” was instrumental in\npavin
g the path that the Boyd-Heron’s business and life would take.\nAs a res
ult of their purchase\, Tony and Carol invited Tania to have a\nsolo exhib
ition in their gallery\, which became one of the first major\nshowcases th
ey mounted. The success of this show earned the Peninsula\nGallery a reput
ation for representing high-quality fine art and\nproviding opportunities
for artists all across the country.   To\ncelebrate its 30th anniversary
\, the Peninsula Gallery is bringing\nTania’s work back to Lewes for the
first time since 2006\, honoring\nthe artist who put the gallery on its
“road to the future.” Over\nthe years\, Tania’s work has evolved fro
m low landscapes and big\nhorizons to a new\, varied approach that combine
s impressionism and\nabstraction. Clients who know Tania’s work from the
past will be\nthrilled to see how her style has changed\, while new patro
ns will\nappreciate her skilled approach to color theory and composition.
\n   An opening reception will be held on Saturday\, October 3\, fr
om\n5:00 to 6:30 pm\, which is free and open to everyone. While Dibbs will
\nnot be in attendance\, patrons are welcome to join the gallery staff\nfo
r an evening of fine art and complimentary food and drink.  Tania\nDibbs
is a contemporary abstract painter based in Basalt\, Colorado\,\ncollected
by clients in Aspen and throughout the United States.\nWorking from her s
tudio and gallery in the Roaring Fork Valley near\nAspen\, she creates lar
ge-scale paintings and sculptural works that\nexplore the intersection of
the natural world\, humanity\, and culture.\nTania’s paintings often inc
orporate screens\, overlays\, and layered\nsurfaces that both reveal and o
bscure the landscape beneath. These\nvisual interventions reflect the tens
ion between the beauty of nature\nand the complex\, often contradictory sy
stems humans construct around\nit. Tania’s work is held in private colle
ctions in the United\nStates\, Europe\, and Australia\, including those of
Perry Farrell and\nEtty Lau Farrell\, Jackie Bezos and Mike Bezos\, Porti
