DESCRIPTION:A tribute to the spirit of America brought to life through show
 \nstopping songs from Broadway’s greatest composers. Acclaimed\nBroadway
  singer and producer Tina Marie Cassamento\, accompanied by\nseveral speci
 al guests\, performs a selection of Broadway songs that\ncapture the Ameri
 can experience through the works of some of the\ntheater’s greatest comp
 osers. Musical director David Libby leads a\nprogram featuring favorites f
 rom 1776\, Hamilton\, West Side Story\, and\nThe Music Man\, as well as 
 “I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy” from\nLittle Johnny Jones. Historian Pau
 l Sparrow will provide background\nand context for each song and offer a p
 erspective on how Broadway both\nreflected and helped shape public opinion
 . This event is sponsored by\nThe Inn at Canal Square. This program is par
 t of Lewes 250\, a\ncommemoration of America’s 250th anniversary\, honor
 ing our town’s\nrich past and bright future. Lewes 250 brings neighbors\
 , visitors\, and\nlocal organizations together in celebration of the “Fi
 rst Town in\nthe First State.” New this year: No registration required! 
 First\ncome\, first seated. Open seating under and around the pavilion\, a
 nd on\nthe grass. Plenty of room for all! Guests are welcome to bring thei
 r\nown lawn chairs or blankets\, or borrow one of the library’s folding\
 nchairs. Note: To help maintain clear sightlines for all\, guests with\nhi
 gher-backed chairs are kindly asked to sit toward the back of the\npavilio
 n. Picnics are welcome! In case of inclement weather\, the\nperformance wi
 ll be in the large meeting room of the library. That\ndecision will be mad
 e by 1:00 PM the day of the scheduled event and\nposted on the library’s
  website and social media (Facebook and\nInstagram). Seating in the large 
 meeting room will be first-come\,\nfirst seated in chairs we will provide.
