"Shellabration" - Works by Marian Osher

Marian is an artist and avid beachcomber with an exhibition of paintings inspired by shells. Come celebrate the magical, mystical journey of shells, transformed from sea creatures' homes to unique treasures on the beach for a beachcomber's delight. She first draws directly on the shells to discover the marks and topography on their surfaces that echo their unique journey in the ocean and on the sand. The paintings have striking backgrounds that highlight the beauty and uniqueness of each shell, alluding to the mystery of unknown travels. "Shellabration" is Marian's 27th solo show. She received her BA from the University of Maryland and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking from George Washington University. Venue: Gallery 50.
