As the hardworking inhabitants of this waterfront community\ngathered in

long\, cold winter ahead.\n\nVisitors to the Historic Lewes Town Campus on
October 17th and 18th\nwill step into the swirl of activity Lewestowners
experienced in the\nFall of 1776.  Talk to the inhabitants of this strate
gic port on\nDelaware Bay as they demonstrate historical activities\, come
to grips\nwith current events\, and do their best to celebrate a successf
ul\nharvest\, even in trying times.  Enjoy live music\, shop with\nhistor
 ically-inspired vendors in our market\, watch soldiers prepare\nfor war\,
see a blacksmith and other tradespeople hard at work\, enjoy a\nkid-center
ed Punch and Judy puppet show\, be amazed by the optical\nwonders of the C
amera Obscura and marvel at the high-flying hot air\nballoon…and brace y
ourself for the Crucial Days of Revolution yet to\ncome!\n\nPeriod-inspire
d food and drink will be available onsite throughout the\nweekend.  Admis
sion to this fan-favorite living history event is\n$10.00 per person (Yout
h 12 and Under are Free!)\, the proceeds of\nwhich support the ongoing eff
