 original tract of land\ndates back to the colonial era\, the Town of Ocean
  View was founded by\nW.S. Hall who opened a general store in 1820. Soon a
 fter\, a village\nsprung up around the store and\, thus\, the area became 
 known as\nHall’s Store. The Town of Ocean View was incorporated on April
  13\,\n1889\, with the first Town Council meeting held on April 20\,1889\n
 consisting of nine elected council members. This ribbon-cutting\nceremony 
 will honor the origins of the town by officially opening\nHall’s Store\,
  a beautiful\, replica general store and visitor’s\ncenter.\n
